1. In the interview scene what are some of the blunders Brockovich makes?

I noticed that Brockovich makes multiple blunders during her interview for a job. Some of the blunders includes irrelevant information unrelated to the job, her interest in other areas, specifically, the inability to tell the different between geography and geology. In addition, the sharing of personal information proved to be a negative for her in the situation where she though it would help her. Lastly, she was just plain harsh and rude. She must have through a tough life for her manners and language was downright bad. She might have gotten the job if her attitude was different.


2. What are the roadblocks to gainful employment that Brockovich makes?


Based on her interview, one can see that she has multiple roadblocks to gainful employment. One of the roadblocks was her kids. Her husband must have divorced from her and thus, she has to work and support her kids on her own. She loves them a lot and she would freak out if something happened to them. Another roadblock is her inability to cooperate with people. It is hard for her to cooperate with others because of her life. She has led a tough life and is still leading one. During work, she has problems working with others due to her language, attitude and her unorthodox way to doing things. Unlike others, she does not abide by the rules and chooses to do whatever she wants. 3. Discuss the importance of creating a life situation for yourself which allows you to follow a career path of your choosing.

When selecting a career, a person has to give it a lot of thought. In life, there are some things that you are forced to do. Some of them is forced due to the fact that they are beneficial to you and some are forced due to the current circumstances. Everyone has a choice. In this case, it is a matter of selecting a career path of your choosing. Sometimes, you are being forced to take a career that is not of your choosing and most often, you quit and pursue your interests. It all depends on the situation at hand. By following a career path of your choosing, you are doing something that you enjoy doing. The affinity for that particular thing is what enables you to do the job best. By doing something that you hate or do not enjoy, you can never be the best at it. It is important as it determines your future. You alone would have to deal with whatever that comes in your way along with the career. The reason why you do the job is because you enjoy it. Everyone has something that he or she enjoys doing. Eventually, that something will be career or the future of the person's life. How do you feel? What are your thoughts on this?

3. Why was Brockovich successful?

It turn out that she managed to win the case against PG&E. This success was due to several factors. One reason was the emotional attachment she had with her clients. She felt that pain that they were feeling. Due to this, she was motivated to help the unfortunate souls that were suffering. In addition, the people were depending on her. If she had lost the case, the people would have been severely disappointed and word of their loss would have spread. Her determination was another factor. She was determined to win the case and would she have given out, she would have lost the case. The third reason was because of her kids. Her children depend on her for guidance and support. Her husband also depend on her. With many depending on her, it would be both sad and depressing if she had failed. She had sacrifice much in order for this to happen. It all hinges on whether she wins the case or not. The whole situation was both fragile and delicate. Somehow, against all odds she managed to win. The world needs people like these to shape it.
